What a fun group! The Red Hat ladies came to Windswept Winery and enjoyed a "Wine and Dine" event.

One thing is for sure....Red Hat Ladies know how to have fun.

Here's a picture of the group, all decked out in their Seasonal attire.

Thank you, ladies, come back and see us soon.

Shriner's Christmas party

Windswept Winery was honored to host the Shriner's for Christmas Party and Wine Tasting.

The event included sumptous meal of Windswept Brisket, Chicken Land Rush Alfredo, veggies, rolls, potatoes, salad, and an amazing Chocolate and Raspberry Decadance Dessert.

The evening featured a very entertaining gift exchange...you will have to ask one of the attendees for more information on that....
Lack of a picture here is testimony to my new camera; and my lack of understanding of the new camera...haven't given up, though.
Thanks to everyone of this fun, fun group. We had a wonderful time with everyone.

Whispering Wind White

The sweet beauty Whispering Wind White is now back in the bottle! It is delightful to savor this tropical fruit, asian pear-tinged and apricot-hinted luscious wine. We are happy to have it back on the shelves, and ready for you.
Don't delay if this is one of your favorites. We have many cases pre-ordered, and want everyone to get their share!
Look for the green label.
Made with the Vignoles grape.

Fall in the Vineyard

Finally a frost this week, and the vines in the vineyards have lost their leaves.
We couldn't have asked for a longer or more gentle fall for the vines to harden for the winter. Hopefully the vines will have a nice gentle winter's nap, and be ready for spring.
There were a few snowflakes late Friday night, and the wind was blowing. It certainly felt like Winter had begun!

October

Wow, today is the normal first-freeze of the year, and it is still warm and wonderful. There is no freeze in the forecast, and that is wonderful. Hopefully, the freeze will hold off just a little while longer, so the vines will fully prepare for the approaching winter.
The normal first freeze date plus a week or so would be awesome for the vines
